DESCRIPTION:Applications are now open for Cupar Analytics’ first Practical Echosounder Data Processing course\, running 22-26 March 2027 in St Andrews\, Scotland. \nThis five-day\, fully hands-on course will take participants from raw Simrad EK60/EK80 survey data through: \n\ndata inspection and quality control\nnoise filtering and bottom detection\nfish-school\, krill-swarm and scattering-layer detection\nfeature extraction\, validation and classification\nabundance and biomass estimation\nassessment of processing choices and uncertainty\npreparation of structured outputs for reporting\, modelling and machine learning\n\nThe course will use open-source tools including KORONA\, echopype and supporting Python workflows.
