Tamara Darbar, a PhD researcher at the University of St Andrews, is conducting interviews as part of a project examining the effectiveness of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in Scotland.
The first phase focuses on understanding current management approaches, and lessons learned across a range of ecological and social contexts. Case studies are centred on:
- Loch Sunart to the Sound of Jura (NCMPA)
- Small Isles (NCMPA)
- Turbot Bank (NCMPA)
- Berwickshire and North Northumberland (SAC)
If you have experience with any of these sites — or with MPA management more broadly — your insights could make a valuable contribution to this work. Interviews are informal and can be scheduled at your convenience.
If you or someone you know has relevant experience and would be interested in participating, please get in touch at: txhd@st-andrews.ac.uk
