Call for Abstracts: MASTS 2024 Annual Science Meeting

We are excited to announce the call for abstracts for the 2024 Annual Science Meeting is officially open. This highly anticipated event will take place from November 5-7, 2024, at the Technology & Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The meeting will be held in person, with limited options for online attendance.

Celebrating its fourteenth year, the MASTS ASM is a premier cross-disciplinary gathering that unites marine science experts to share research excellence and foster new collaborations. The first two days will feature plenary speakers, contributed talks, panel sessions, and posters addressing critical topics in marine science and management amidst global climate change and biodiversity challenges. Special topic sessions and numerous networking opportunities, including a ceilidh, will enhance the experience. The third day is dedicated to workshops, with more details forthcoming.

Early bird registration opens mid-August. For updates, follow MASTS on Twitter and LinkedIn using #MASTSasm2024 or check out our ASM webpage.

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for general science sessions (any field of study related to marine science) or one of the five special sessions:

  • Multiple Stressors,
  • Sea Lice Surveillance and Monitoring,
  • Deep Sea,
  • Marine Biogeochemistry,
  • Marine Mammals in an Ocean of Change.

Abstract Template Document should be emailed to by 4:00 PM on Thursday 22nd August.
