Apply for funding to deliver a new centre for doctoral training (CDT) in sustainable management of UK marine resources. You can apply if you are employed by an organisation eligible for NERC funding. Organisations that are not eligible for funding may act as collaborative partners. The CDT funded through this call will train a cohort of students with the skills and transdisciplinary approaches to support decision-making in the management of UK marine resources.
This opportunity is open to applicants based at organisations eligible for NERC research grant funding. This includes:
- UK higher education institutions (HEIs)
- approved research institutes
- independent research organisations (IROs)
- public sector research establishments (PSREs).
There is NERC funding for a notional eight studentships a year (with three years of new student intake that’s 24 studentships in total), in partnership with government partners:
- Marine Scotland Science
- Welsh Government
