NERC are pleased to announce that the next NERC Large Grants funding opportunity will launch in autumn 2025 as planned, following the pause to the scheme in 2024.
This opportunity will follow the established two-stage application process, with outline applications due in March 2026. The scope and requirements of the opportunity will remain consistent with previous rounds. There will be a larger total budget of £20m for this opportunity.

NERC will provide an update on large grant funding opportunities beyond 2025 in the coming months, subject to wider portfolio review and pending the Spending Review outcome.
