New publication – From subsea power cable to small-spotted catshark Scyliorhinus canicula: Behavioural effects of electromagnetic fields in tank experiments

An abstract background with lines and dots

The lab work for this project was conducted at St Abbs Marine Station. In collaboration with researchers from Wageningen University & Research (NL), we investigated the effects of Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) from subsea power cables on the behaviour of small-spotted catsharks.

The paper is now available (open access) in Marine Environmental Research: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.marenvres.2025.107127
