We are looking for experienced social researchers to be able to contribute towards a developing programme of work. Experience of marine management and working with stakeholders is important for the role, however we are also keen to hear from creative and forward thinking individuals with an interest in working across disciplines for the improvement of the marine environment.
The role is in the directorate’s multidisciplinary Evidence and Evaluation team of ecologists and social researchers. The team draws from the best available evidence to improve marine management decisions across MMO service areas from marine conservation, to fisheries management to marine planning. The team works closely with colleague across the MMO, academia, consultants and government and non-government bodies to provide independent advice and analysis and commission research as needed.
