Duration: 4 years
Start: 1 December 2022.
Fixed term full-time position
Aarhus University are seeking applicants for a 4-year postdoc to develop algorithms for mapping spatial distributions of marine communities based on data from new technologies and existing monitoring programs. Join a multi-disciplinary marine group at the Department of Ecoscience.
The successful candidate will analyse data from different novel observation techniques (flow cytometry, ROV/AUVs, sensors, etc.) to assess their potential for describing marine biodiversity and functioning. This involves developing algorithms for transforming data from these sources into ecologically relevant information and analysing this information in combination with other spatio-temporal sources of information to produce spatial and temporal distributions of marine species and communities. The position is funded under a Horizon Europe project and the candidate will be part of a large multi-disciplinary group working on a broad range of marine research topics. English is the working language.
