We’re looking for a freshwater ecologist for a 32-month post-doc in the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University. This will form part of the NERC-funded project ‘Long-Term Large-Scale Freshwater Ecosystems (LTLS-FE): Analysis and future scenarios of long-term and large-scale freshwater quality and impacts’ with our partners UKCEH, British Geological Survey, Rothamsted Research and Bowburn Consultancy. See here for a general overview of the project: https://water.leeds.ac.uk/fwq-programme/ltls-freshwater-ecosystems/
The LTLS-FE project is working to model water quality across the whole UK, with a view to forecasting how this might change under different future climate and socioeconomic scenarios. This new post-doc position will contribute to this by: i) looking to improve our current understanding of multiple stressor impacts on UK river ecosystems, and ii) forecasting how river biodiversity may change under the different future scenario
The role would suit an ecologist experienced in modelling and handling large data sets.
