The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of Welsh marine development, working across diverse sectors including offshore renewables and coastal development.
You will manage a new team who are leading the development and continuous improvement of Marine Licensing. Your team will influence policy development, improve processes, develop guidance and deliver training. They will also actively work with a wide variety of stakeholders including NRW staff, our service users, Welsh Government and other regulators.

Experience of managing a dispersed team of technical staff.
Excellent technical understanding of marine regulation, with strong analytical skills and experience of managing successful projects, achieved through substantial work experience in a related field.
Knowledge of Welsh and UK legislation and Policy drivers that relate to marine regulation.
Experience in informing and influencing government departments or regulators, preferably on environmental issues.
Experience in forming and maintaining close links with internal and external partners/stakeholders to deliver the outcomes.
Experience of understanding and applying regulatory activities.
