Are you a seasoned researcher in marine ecology looking to push the boundaries of interdisciplinary research in biodiversity and ecosystem services? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Department of Biology. We are seeking an enthusiastic postdoc to join us for a two-year stint on an impactful project focused on Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).
As the postdoc for the Blue4All project, you will focus on marine conservation and restoration challenges in Europe, proposing innovative approaches to MPAs that align with the EU Biodiversity Strategy and national initiatives. The project emphasizes stakeholder involvement, working with stakeholders from various sites and living labs in the Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, and North-East Atlantic regions.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in biology, ecology, environmental studies, political science, or sociology with an environmental emphasis, environmental/resource economics, or similar. Experience with climate or biodiversity topics, coastal habitats, or ecosystem service assessments is highly desirable.
