Role: Senior Science Officer
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Salary: £36,000
Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week, flexible hours, to include weekend and bank holiday
working as required to deliver fieldwork.
Contract: 2 years (potential to extend, funding dependant)
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, with frequent travel to field sites nationally

Project Seagrass was created with the intention of reversing the loss of seagrass by turning
research into effective conservation action and communication both directly and through
partnerships with communities and other stakeholders. As a dedicated transdisciplinary team,
we are passionate about securing a future for seagrass.
Main Purpose of Post
You will be a key member of the Project Seagrass team and take a leading role in the
organisation and delivery of our operations in Scotland. Science leadership, fieldwork and
team guidance are key elements of this position. This post will be based in Edinburgh.
