Join us to explore the different kinds of power relationships in Vietnam’s aquaculture industry that influence people’s access to resources, livelihood options and sustainability outcomes.
This seminar looks at a case study of aquaculture production systems in northern Vietnam and the power relationships in food systems that lead to poverty, poor health and ecological degradation.
The presenters will analyse power relationships between the national government, local governments, aquaculture farmers, and workers on aquaculture farms, and examine how they influence livelihood options, economic vulnerability, socio-economic and health risks, and local environmental sustainability.
This seminar is organised by the Sustainable and Equitable Aquaculture (SEA) in Vietnam project and the Food Equity Centre.
