If you are currently employed or undertake postgraduate study at one of the MASTS Partner Institutes listed above you are automatically a MASTS member through affiliation. If you have previously been employed and/or studied at one of the MASTS partners, or are not associated with any MASTS Partner, then you would be classified as a non-member. Yes. The range of what disciplines we want our community to cover is wide! From catchment to offshore – if you have any connections to aquatic sciences, you’re in!
Through your affiliation with your institution, any PGR or staff who is interested in freshwater or marine topics and wants to connect with the community is welcome. Individuals from the social sciences and arts are welcome if they see opportunity to collaborate and benefit from communicating with the wider MASTS community.
Yes, we welcome researchers with a diverse range of interests to engage with our community, and there are no geographic restrictions on research areas. Regardless of what you work on, through your organisation’s partnership with MASTS you can be involved.
Anyone can sign up to the mailing list, and we recommend they do!
Whilst UG and MSc are not members of MASTS, they can sign up to the mailing list and benefit from our MASTS ASM concession tickets. We recommend they sign up with their personal email so they can receive the newsletter after their studies.
The best thing to do is for them to email MASTS@st-andrews.ac.uk so we can have an informal conversation with them to understand how MASTS can benefit their organisation.
