Joint Industry Funded PhDs in Engineering and Marine Biology – Applications Open

The National Decommissioning Centre, in collaboration with industry, is offering four fully funded PhD studentships focused on advancing knowledge and understanding of aspects of subsea infrastructure decommissioning.

Successful candidates will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team at The National Decommissioning Centre University of Aberdeen working alongside a cohort of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, world leading academics and industry experts.

These are exciting projects for graduates with backgrounds in ecology, marine biology, biological sciences, a wide range of engineering disciplines including marine/mechanical/structural/offshore/systems/environmental, chemistry, mathematics and other related disciplines. The projects provide an excellent opportunity to undertake impactful research and contribute to the future of sustainable offshore energy and decommissioning.
