What makes a Marine Protected Area (MPA) ‘effective’? Tamara Darbar, a PhD student at the University of St Andrews, is looking for individuals with at least 2 years of experience in MPA-related fields to participate in a modified Delphi study to help answer this question. We are looking for a diverse range of perspectives from site management and marine ecology to marine policy and social science.
The modified Delphi study involves two online survey rounds (approx. 30 mins each) and a final workshop (online or in-person at this year’s MASTS ASM). Round 1 launches on 11th May on a bespoke, user-friendly digital platform. Participants will have a four-week window to complete their review of indicators at their own pace.
Why Join?
- Benefit from a collaborative process that brings together a diverse group of experts.
- In Round 2, you will have the unique opportunity to see the group’s anonymised and aggregated results, allowing you to reflect on your own perspective.
- Contribute your expertise to help inform the way MPAs are managed and assessed.
If you’d like to contribute to this study, please reach out to Tamara at txhd@st-andrews.ac.uk for more details.
