The cabin on the Swordsman allows for the installation of computer and recording equipment and has been used as a platform for deploying a variety of equipment including hydrophones, both static and towed. The vessel is routinely used for photo ID work with dolphins and has been used for sample collection using grabs and small beam trawls.
