On the occasion of the 10th Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the Convention on Biological Diversity held in Nagoya in 2010, We have been holding biennial prize for over 10 years since then,the Biodiversity Japan Award (domestic award) and the MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity (international award) . The issue of biodiversity is still a pressing concern and is becoming increasingly important on a global scale. In light of this situation, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the foundation’s establishment, we have combined both prizes into one and unied the name to “MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity”. Through this prize, we will further promote support for environmental activities related to biodiversity from a more global perspective
