Consultant: Marine Physical and Coastal Processes (Permanent) – Xodus

Description

Are you a Marine Physical and Coastal Processes expert who dreams of being part of a team that’s driving the transition towards a responsible and sustainable energy future? Look no further – Xodus is where your aspirations can become reality!

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant to join our expanding team in line with our increasing project pipeline. You will work on projects across renewables, oil and gas, decarbonisation and carbon capture usage and storage, as well as other sector projects including port and coastal infrastructure, pipelines and cables, marine aggregates, and habitat creation. You will support client scopes through the analysis and interpretation of marine and coastal processes data, leading EIA assessments, supporting engineering design scopes, and undertaking seabed mobility, marine and coastal process and metocean assessments.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skill/Competencies:

  • Educated to BSc degree, or higher, in a marine or coastal science discipline (marine geoscience, physical oceanography, marine engineering) or alternatively, significant experience in environmental assessment of marine physical and coastal processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and synthesising information from marine datasets and reports (including metocean, sediment, geology, morphology and oceanography).
  • A good knowledge of marine physical and coastal processes; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues.
